Capturing Streets by Canon

Canon organized a Street Photography Workshop in the morning, to explore the vibes of everyday life on the road. Students and participants approached to capture the art and candid of real moments on street. As it was at Koley market, near Sealdah rail station, Kolkata, the place was busy and everybody was in motion. So, it was great opportunity for the participants to develop skill mastery and to capture the candid moments & human story. Mr. Kuntal Biswas, the mentor, took great care and gave important tips to open vision to capture candid portraits on daily busy streets. Motion study is one of the important thing in street snaps to do creative photography. The mentor gave tips on camera basics and focus which helped participants to capture motions artistically. Participants used Canon’s professional cameras and experienced in the practical field. It helped to those, who want to be a photo journalist in future. The opportunity gave them an idea about professional cameras for photo journalism. After the practical part, participants came to Phoolbagan branch of RAP Education Photography School, to have the theoretical session. After a short refreshment, Mr. Biswas analyzed the photographs captured by the participants. He gave a presentation on street photography in which showed his own work as well. He discussed important point like, dynamic range, leading lines, golden hour, silhouette shots, monochrome portraits and more. At the end, Founder and Mentor of RAP Education Photography School, Mr. Riddhi Bhattacharjee, told the participants and students that street photography actually tells the story of a city or a place and expresses its culture. People from different cultures can experience that essence through these photographs, which makes them truly valuable. Only purposeful clicks on the street can achieve this.
